Accessibility
The main entrance to the plasma donor centre is located at the front of the building on Forbury Road (the A329). There is a set of steps leading up to the main entrance. For level access, please use the entrance to the side or the rear of the building. These entrances are accessed via intercom. Please ring the buzzer to be granted access to the building and then follow signs to the plasma donor centre.
Once inside, the building is fully accessible.

Travelling to the donor centre
If you are travelling by train, the donor centre is a 13 minute walk from Reading train station.
If you are travelling by bike, you can bring your bike into the donor centre with you. Please note, there are no bike racks located outside the donor centre.
If you are travelling by car, you can park at Queens Road Car Park, RG1 4PX. We will contribute 1 hour's free parking each time you visit - just ask for a pre-paid parking ticket from a member of the team in the donor centre. The donor centre is a 7 minute walk from the car park.
This is a multi storey car park with a 2.03m height restriction. Motorbike parking bays are available in this car park.
Opening hours
The first and last appointments of the day will be within the opening hours. Please only visit the donor centre if you have an appointment booked, and arrive at your appointment time. We are unable to provide walk-in appointments.
The donor centre is open on weekdays, evenings and weekends, as follows:
- Monday - 8am to 3.30pm
- Tuesday - midday to 7.30pm
- Wednesday - 10am to 5.30pm
- Thursday - midday to 7.30pm
- Friday - 10am to 5.30pm
- Saturday - 8am to 3.30pm on alternate weeks (closed when open on Sunday)
- Sunday - 8am to 3.30pm on alternate weeks (closed when open on Saturday)
