Where to park

There are several public car parks in the area with the nearest being at the Arndale Centre. Please note, these car parks are pay and display parking.

Travelling to the donor centre

If you are travelling by:

bus: the nearest stop is Cheapside (CO), which is a short walk from the donor centre.
Metrolink: the nearest stops are Mosley Street and Market Street, which are both a short walk away from the donor centre.
bike: there are bike racks located in the pedestrianised street near the donor centre, but please be aware that this is not a secure bike parking facility.
car: there are several public car parks in the area with the nearest being at the Arndale Centre. This is a pay and display multi storey car park.

Leave M56 at junction 3 which leads onto the A5103 (Princess Parkway).
Continue onto the Princess Road dual carriageway for 7 miles and signs for the city centre
At the roundabout (under Mancunian Way) take the 2^nd exit following the signs for GMEX and continue onto Medlock Street.
Continue onto Lower Mosley Street. Turn left into Windmill Street.
Turn right into Mount Street. Continue onto Albert Square (passing Town Hall on the right) and then into Cross Street.
Turn right into King Street.
Turn left into Cheapside and continue onto Marsden Street.
Turn left into Brown Street.
We are located on the corner of Norfolk Street.

By car, from the North/M60

Leave the M60 at junction 17. Join the A56 towards they city centre.
Continue pas the MEN Arena onto Victoria Street and then Deansgate.
Turn left into St Ann Street. Turn right into Cross Street. Turn left into King Street.
Turn left into Cheapside and continue onto Marsden Street.
Turn left into Brown Street.
We are located on the corner of Norfolk Street.

The donor centre is open on weekdays, evenings and weekends, as follows:

Monday - 8:20am to 4pm
Tuesday - 11am to 6:40pm
Wednesday - 11am to 6:40pm
Thursday - 11am to 6:40pm
Friday - 8:20am to 4pm
Saturday - 8:20am to 4pm
Sunday - 8:20am to 4pm

What you can donate

Blood

An appointment to give blood takes an hour, with the donation taking around 5-10 minutes.

Your blood could help someone in an emergency, help save the lives of mothers and babies during childbirth, or help to fight sickle cell.

An appointment to give platelets takes around 2 hours, with the donation taking up to 90 minutes.

Your platelets could help someone combat cancer or recover from losing a lot of blood after an accident, organ transplant or surgery.
